It won't be long before Snoodle returns!!
Princess and Super Tot were both very excited yesterday upon checking the mail and finding a letter addressed to them from The North Pole, Scout Elf Division. Our Elf on a Shelf, Snoodle, has been vacationing at the beach and wanted to send the kids a letter.
I have to interrupt myself to point out that our kids know that Snoodle is just pretend. They know that I am the one moving him each day. We don't do "Santa" at our house, but after several years, Snoodle has become a cherished addition to our holiday festivities. I'm certainly not bashing the man in the red suit, or anyone else's decisions about how to celebrate Christmas. I'm just sharing what our family has chosen to do and pointing out that we are still able to enjoy this pretend part of the season, even knowing it is just pretend.
Back to the letter...
The kids learned that Snoodle has been vacationing at the beach and practicing his surfing. He even included a photo of himself lounging on a white sand beach! Princess and Super Tot are so excited about his return and the approaching celebration of our Lord and Savior.
Very cute. We love the book Santa's Secret Elf with his favorite elf names Merryam. She has a great website with fun and games also and an online advent that has neat messages everyday. Merryam brings the faith back into the fun because her job is take care of the lists asking for things that Santa can't provide like bring my daddy home, make my mommy better or help us find a new house or friend when we move.... Merryam prays for what the kids need while Santa makes what they want. She reminds you that we should be grateful everyday and our greatest gift is Jesus. The book is $10 and all the other stuff is free. Be sure to send her a letter this year a long with Santa. Check it out www.merryam.com
ReplyDeleteLove this Snoodle letter... where I can sign up for one? We already have The Elf on the Shelf book and doll from Halmark but this is a great way to bring it to life.
