I have to confess that Tot School has been a little unorganized and casual the past couple months in our home. Super Tot is once again enjoying it on an almost daily basis. He especially loves the little "chick chicks" in this bin. I basically filled with with pastel pompoms, white silk rose petals, little chicks, various eggs and a few buttons & wooden shapes.

I made biscuits for breakfast and thought I'd have a little fun with them for April Fool's Day. Once again, I didn't have my camera out much this week, but I did get a few pictures. We started the week by having a Valentine Party with some of the cousins. It was a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed themselves.

Super Tot is 24 months old
February 3 is Seolnal or 설날, which is Korean New Year. We were blessed to be able to adopt Super Tot from S. Korea, so his birth culture is an important part of our lives. That being said, I wanted to celebrate with a Korean New Year theme in Tot School this week.

Super Tot is 24 months old.
I have been wanting to put together a Sensory Bin for awhile now, and finally got one done for February. I plan to use this as part of Tot School 3 days/week, and to change the Sensory Bin theme once a month.
Super Tot LOVED the bin and explored the contents for almost an hour. He was not happy when we finally put it away! This is a good sign! A Tot Book is basically a small lapbook made especially for a Tot! I have seen lots of other Tot Moms make them, but this was my first attempt. I thought it would be fun to do a "Year of the Rabbit" theme to honor Super Tot's Korean heritage. Basically, it's just a rabbit theme, and it turned out very cute.

Both Princess and Super Tot have January birthdays, so we decided to have a combined party for them this year. Princess really wanted to have an African Safari, so that's what we did! The party was so much fun and worked really well for all ages.

One of the bonuses of homeschooling is that we are able to choose our schedule. Our family schools on a year-round system, so while we only take 6 weeks off in the summer, we are able to take off the entire month of December. We spend that month celebrating the Advent season and focusing on the birth of Christ.

Several years ago, our family started a tradition of making and giving out Christmas Nails to various people we come into contact with throughout the Advent season. We make a big batch of them at the start of the season, which is always a fun and special time. As we are making the ornaments, we are praying for the people who will ultimately receive them

I came across this wreath awhile back online and thought it would be perfect for Princess to make for her room. We made it together during Super Tot's nap. It took about 40 minutes to make and only cost $2 ($1 for the bags and $1 for the ribbon - we had the rest of the supplies on hand). We love the finished product and it looks just beautiful on her door!
