Oh my! I want to WIN!!! (maybe if I don't win you can email me the printables)
ReplyDelete1. I follow your blog, duh!
2. And my favorite on the go activity for the boys is letting them play a toddler game on my ipad! Works wonders in a doctors office!
I follow your blog...love the activities, and my 2 year old loves them too! On the go we love the iPad2 but I hate to take it some places. We keep a bag of little animals in his bag. Then we sort them into families, where they live, color, how many legs they have, the possibilities are endless. He loves it!
ReplyDeleteWOO HOO!!! We love Princess and the Tot! I've been following for a while.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite on the go activity is the "search and find bottles" I've made using rice and some small items hidden inside. A close second would be the crayons and a notepad of paper I keep in my purse at all times. My tot LOVES to color. :)
Congrats on 100 followers and thanks for the fun giveaway.
I'm #101. I've never "followed" any blog, so that is new for me.
ReplyDeleteMy fav toddler on the go is simply handing him a car . . . and if that doesn't work, a car and a sucker (dum dums). Anything else, and I've tried sooooo many things, doesn't work nearly as well for him. :)
I follow your blog, my LO is about the same age as your little guy.
ReplyDeleteOur favorite on the go activity is stickers. We take them everywhere!
sbrahner9@yahoo.com
I've been following you for awhile!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite way to entertain my guys is to hand my older son something and let him entertain my younger one, a piece of paper, a clip board, a napkin, things like that work the best. That may sound like a silly answer, but it took me awhile to realize that them giggling at each other is usually 100% better than what either of them wants to do otherwise. Beyond that my go-to is matchbox cars.
I love following your blog. I have it as a favorite on my laptop and my cell phone!
ReplyDeleteI have a few favorite on the go activities:
1. Markers & Stickers for doctor visits. My girls can use them on the white paper that covers the patient table while they are waiting to see the doctor.
2. I always have 2-4 small animals at the bottom of my purse. These are the animal toys/prizes you get from the doctor/dentist. I only pull them out when I am grocery shopping or we are waiting in a line.
3. Stickers, stickers, stickers.
YAY!! I found your blog from the Holt boards and I'm definitely a follower!
ReplyDeleteOur go to activity for travel right now is the leapster. My little guy hasn't figured out the games yet but he LOVES the alphabet movies.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on reaching 100 followers, I am #100! My tot has sensory processing disorder, so it is difficult for her to focus on anything (or even keep her clothes on) so I am excited to see so many ideas for distracting her. My favorite on the go activity is the Leap Frog toy cell phone because it's compact and only one thing to pick up when she throws it.
ReplyDeleteI follow
ReplyDeleteI let my son choose toy from home to take with him, if different each time. Then I also pack a ball and a car or 2. If I am desperate for him to settle down I'll give him my phone
Thanks for the give away...looks very handy to have

I follow your blog. I can't believe I hadn't followed it before this! What was I thinking....your blog is one of my favorites! :)
ReplyDeleteRight now I always bring alphabet or number flashcards. My littles are obsessed with letters and numbers right now. It's fun to try to find other things that start with the letters, or find the same amount of the number on the card.
ReplyDeleteI also bring markers/crayons to the Dr. office so we can color on the white paper on the examining tables.
Also, the jelly packages at restaurants make great memory games while you're waiting for food. :)
I follow your blog! Such great ideas!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 100 followers.
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog. I'm real boring on the out a about stuff, usually it's crayons & a notepad, books, or mini wood transportation vehicles we got from Target dollar spot.
I'm a new follower. Such a cute ideas. I have an almost 2 year old and we're always on the hunt for things to keep us entertained. I love the fish bowl sorting!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog via Ohdeedoh, and I love it! I'm now following via Google Reader.
ReplyDeleteMy kids love clothespins, so that one would probably be our favorite. In surfing around, though, I saw your sticker/matching activity (putting the colored stickers on the colored x's) and I think I would make another bag with that kind of activity too -- my 21 month old would LOVE it.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower and love all the great ideas on your blog. My favorite go to activity with my 33 month old son when we are at restaurants is to let him play 'waiter'. I give him a pen, a small notepad, tie a napkin around his waist and let him take our order and pretend to bring food. It keeps him entertained for quite a while.
I love your blog! Just found it via Ohdeedoh and now I have subscribed! One of my favorite on the go activities are my handmade "I Spy" water bottles.
ReplyDeleteI've just found your blog today - I have a 22-month-old and one on the way any day now, and I love these ideas. Currently waiting room diversions include just about anything - books, paper cups, riding the elevator, and as a last resort, books & Baby Einstein on the Droid.
ReplyDeleteI just signed up to be a follower! But found you from a linky party for the tot bags! I am going crazy with all the ideas and have now put 6 together for my 26 month old son! They have been a lifesaver!!! He is number child number 4 and has very busy traveling sisters!! Soccer, Dance, swim team we have taken these bags everywhere and he is doing amazing! Our favorite on the go activity is our homemade "i spy" bag!! Thank you so much for your inspiration!!

Hi! I follow you since not much time.
ReplyDelete1º I don´t speak english, I can understand it, but write it it´s a bit difficult to me (grammar and that :P )
2º I LOVE what you do!!! I can´t wait to have time to do it my self!!
3º My kids (8 and 3) are travelling with my fathers in law right now, so I made them a "fun-travel-table". This is a pillow with pockets in the ends. In one side of the pillow, I put a "wood panel" (I don´t know it´s correct words) So It´s flat in one side and squishy in the other... in one pocket I put pencils, colors and erasers, and in the other coloring books for my little princess and a notebook for my prince, because he loves to create "comic books" for its own!
I hope you could understand my "Tarzanic english"... and i hope i could win some beatifull things you do.
A great hug from La Serena, Chile!!! Kisses
i'm a new follower! my on-the-go entertainment-cars, books and anything involving a duck (book, pictures, stuffed animal)...my son loves ducks right now!
ReplyDelete1. I am a new follower! :)
ReplyDelete2. We tend to either grab a book or small activity pad on the go. Or we hand the kids our Ipods, we each have several kid-friendly apps loaded on there that will entertain in a pinch!
I'm a new follower, excited to have found you!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a mom again for the third time to yet another boy. I have found that doing the unexpected keeps my kiddos entertained. Finger play - my oldest, 9, was just shown how to manipulate his fingers one upon the other.. Something I did as a child in school to pass the time. Sing songs - not just any songs however... My middle child delights in giving songs their own words, so I start him off with a line, usually including his name - which gets his interest and creativity going. iPhone is a given for all ages. Keys to the baby who is also going ga-ga over a baby eaglet puppet left over from the first child. Something about puppets...
1. Hi! I just joined today. I am so thankful for finding you. I am starting a cooperative preschool in September for 2-3 year olds and I love your activities.
ReplyDelete2. We usually sing a song, especially in the car.
I sort of fell across your blog by accident, and some of the best things are those that happen by chance! Great blog! I keep a mini flashlight in my purse that has been the biggest hit with my 2.5 year old. Another favorite has been 3 plastic easter eggs, one nested inside of the other and in the smallest one is a jingle bell. It is like those cute dolls, only much smaller and noisier...
ReplyDeleteI am a follower! My toddler's favorite on-the-go activity is a learning toy (for numbers, letters, and shapes) that we keep in the car. She calls it her noisy toy, and she only plays with it on car rides, to keep it special. I also have found that letting her string beads on pipe cleaners will keep her quiet during church services! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower- and oh my goodness my 3 year old would be so happy if her mama won this giveaway :D Our on the go activities are usually singing games, eye spy, or her drawing in her notepad. Your ideas above are so amazing- I'm completely inspired.

I am a new follower. We usually use a notebook and pencils when we are out, but these bags are an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm a new follower - found your pin about your tot busy bags on pinterest! Love your blog. You're welcomem to follow mine, I post my adventures with my son and all my crafty excitement. My favorite bag is the stickers and paper. My son loves stickers! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower - I just added you to my Google FeedReader. I *love* these Tot Bags - I just added it to my "I can make that" folder. :) I do have questions about where you got some of the items, like the lacing shapes, and the mini pegboard items. I've never seen anything like that, and I think my daughter would love it! So even if I don't win, could you reply and let me know where you shop? :) I'm in the Dallas area, so I have access to lots of types of stores!
ReplyDeleteMy fave "on the go" activity? Right now my daughter (2 yo) is LOVING the alphabet, so we are constantly singing the song, tracing letter shapes with fingers, and pointing out letters when we see them. (Which is pretty much everywhere.) :)
